Course description
This course covers the core principles of skin cancer medicine and surgery. Key content areas include: the normal anatomy, embryology and physiology of the skin, the biology and pathology of skin cancer as well as both dermatopathology and dermatology relevant to skin cancer management. Risk factors for the development of skin cancer and associated conditions are dealt with, along with their relevance in principles of skin cancer prevention. Skin cancer incidence and mortality are explored in both the Australasian and global context.
