Course description

This course will expand students' knowledge and understanding of the diversity of approaches to health and illness globally through an examination of cross-cultural medical traditions, beliefs and practices. Students will understand how wider socio-cultural and political economic contexts structure health and illness experience and appreciate how such knowledge can be incorporated into public health policy and practice. This course may not be offered if the enrolment is less than 10 students.
