Course description
Revenue management is both an art and science to ensure organisations offer the right products and services to the right customers at the best possible price. Effective revenue management balances the right levels of demand for that product or service with maximising yield, or return, to the organisation. It is critical to the service focused hospitality industry because there is a fixed capacity (e.g. number of rooms) yet significant fluctuations in demand. This course introduces the principles and the practice of revenue management in the hotel and restaurant industry context to equip students with the managerial, strategic and analytical skills necessary to best utilise a revenue management approach.
