Course description

Reviews evidence base for practice in adapted physical activity and provides skills and knowledge necessary for working with people with disabilities in the professional practice of exercise science. Course concentration on neurological impairment, although other impairment types (intellectual, vision, complicated musculoskeletal) are considered. In addition to lectures and tutorials, student learning is enhanced by 8 x 3 hr of clinic-based work in the School's Motor Active Program for children with movement difficulties.
