Course description
One of the unique aspects of healthcare is that health professionals shape the structures and processes that make themselves, and the services they provide, accountable. All clinicians need a working knowledge of these governance structures and processes, and a willingness to actively participate in them, if they are to live up to the trust placed in them by the community. Furthermore, in an increasingly regulated and litigious world, a sound knowledge of the legal and regulatory frameworks of health practice is essential. This course will take health professionals on a personal journey through clinical governance and is designed for clinicians at all stages of their careers.
