Course description
NOT 2010 A history of Japan from the Tokugawa period (1600+) until today, explaining the socio-economic foundations leading to modernization, expansion, ultra-nationalist militarism & defeat in 1945, & exploring attempts to dissent against the perpetuation of an 'official' interpretation of government actions.
