Course description
NOT 2010 This course investigates a series of hierarchical structures involved with racial & gender relations throughout Australian history. Topics investigated include theoretical perspectives, the frontier & its legacy, plantation economies, Asian & European immigrants, internment & war, mandatory detention, The "White Australia Policy", demography; the family, economy & work, equal pay, women's political rights.
