Course description
NOT 2010 Introduces students to the history of the United States through a combination of films, readings, & lectures. It provides a chronological overview of major events, with particular attention to a number of important themes that have shaped the nation's history, society & culture. Each week, students will view a film & attend a lecture illustrating a particular topic. Films will include titles such as The Last of the Mohicans, Amistad, Bonnie & Clyde, Platoon, Dr. Strangelove & American Beauty.
