Course description

This course will advance the research skills developed in undergraduate study to support Honours and PG students to design and manage a research project. These skills include: understanding the nature of research in the humanities and social sciences; developing a research question; developing a theoretical and methodological approach; managing a research project; applying principles of research ethics to project design and management; writing a research proposal and literature review; planning the thesis. On completion of this course students should have competencies in the development of research proposals, project management, and in constructing a research thesis at Honours level in their discipline or PG level in their program.
