Course description
NOT 2010 This course, taught in French & assuming advanced knowledge of the language, examines how information is gathered, modified & disseminated ('mediatised') in French-speaking countries, situating its analysis in appropriate historical, cultural & economic contexts. Providing students with a broad understanding of these contexts, it uses audio-visual & print texts to develop critical & analytical skills simultaneously with communication skills in French, along with editorial skills: students work on projects analysing media coverage of chosen issues, & present their findings in radio broadcasts.
