Course description

The course is designed to build advanced practical skills in geophysical software development and data processing. It is built around linked practical projects mentored by experienced and well-qualified industry geophysicists. Representative projects include forward modelling of geophysical exploration; signal processing and data analysis of a range of geophysical data; Algorithms for optimum separation of components of multifield datasets; Non-linear inversion and parameter estimation. The course will include focussed literature reviews, design and development of geophysical software, geophysical modelling, and data processing and interpretation.
