Course description

Field based course including pre-excursion lectures, seven-day field excursion to Heron Island in second semester break (late September, early October) and laboratory work to illustrate geological processes, morphology & zonation, structure, and sedimentation of coral reefs. Additional fee payable that covers transport to and from Heron Island from Gladstone Marina, accommodation, food and boating while on Heron Island. Students are required to arrange their own transportation to Gladstone Marina. This is another additional cost to be factored in. Course Quota: 24 students. Students interested in taking this course should complete an Expression of Interest form found on the SENV Field Trip website.
