Course description

Petrology of sedimentary rocks; provenance, dispersal, deposition of sediments; diagenesis; sedimentary geochemistry; genesis & classification of sedimentary rocks. Depositional systems & the stratigraphic record; principles of correlation; basinal analysis, stratigraphic mapping.
