Course description
The course is undertaken as a one-week field trip at Heron Island, on the southern Great Barrier Reef, 80 km northeast of Gladstone, with lecture sessions, briefings, workshops and examination prior to and following the field trip. There is a quota of ~25 students. Additional cost (in 2009 ~$700 plus transport to Gladstone) will be payable by students. All enquiries for permission to enrol to be addressed to: gpem@uq.edu.au. Preference will be given to 3rd year BEnvMan (SD), BSc and BA (Geography Majors) students. Other students will be considered if places are available. Potential students will be contacted by the course coordinator in O-week and informed whether they are successful in obtaining a place in this course.
