Course description
This course focuses on environmental and business ethics, environmental history, environmental management, corporate social responsibility, environmentalism and pro-environmental behavior and total responsibility management (with emphasis on environmental compliance and environmental management systems). The course also examines the responsibilities of the firm in the context of the needs of its stakeholders; particularly from the point of view of the expectations of those stakeholders that relate to the firm's obligations to the natural environment. Systems of environmental compliance and environmental management are also reviewed. The course includes field trips to businesses and has a focus on how environment is integrated with business and social factors to achieve sustainable outcomes.
