Course description
This course provides an introduction to the following topics: (1) basic concepts of how compounds are absorbed, distributed and eliminated (cleared), including by routes of metabolic biotransformation; and (2) the toxicology of substances from various sources, including how poisoning can be treated and managed. The course develops pharmacokinetic concepts and their application to toxicology using worked examples.
