Course description
NOT 2008. Grounded in humanities-based knowledges, this course will explore ways in which cultural values & practices underpin contemporary environmental issues & our approaches to them. It will introduce students to the essentially interdisciplinary nature of environmental studies, by addressing ways in which the identification & representation of environmental 'problems', & the search for 'solutions', inevitably involve a range of cultural & ethical assumptions.
