Course description
This course has the broad aim of introducing students to key works in the English literary tradition. Taking as its particular concern myths of transformation, the course begins with the Roman poet Ovid and moves on to consider works by such authors as Christopher Marlowe, John Milton, Alexander Pope, John Keats, F Scott Fitzgerald, Virginia Woolf, Sylvia Plath, and Salman Rushdie,
