Course description
NOT OFFERED 2009 One of the most influential (and still current) imaginative traditions in English literature, the Gothic specialises in the macabre, the horrifying, the sensational, and the fantastical. Students study key works by (among others) Ann Radcliffe, Jane Austen, Robert Louis Stevenson, Bram Stoker, and the contemporary American author Anne Rice.
