Course description
Conceptual design of a new cutting-edge, engineering product or system in multidisciplinary teams. Clarification of customer requirements. Formal product specifications. Concept & product definition, design & selection. Cost estimation & risk assessment methods. Project management plan, business plan, team formulation, marketing, finance & entrepreneurial business skills. Integration of technical knowledge & skills with professional skills to design & document a commercially viable product or system. Assessment is therefore on professional skills & technical & analytical skills.
