Course description
Educational research is diverse. This reflects the diversity of backgrounds of educators & unique difficulties associated with conducting research in educational settings. This course will deal with the development of research ideas and projects in quantitative and qualitative traditions. The course will cover the goals of research, how to conceptualise and formulate researchable ideas, develop a research proposal, conduct a study, & report the outcomes of the research endeavour. There will be opportunities for students to develop specialised knowledge & skills that might be applied to proposed or on-going research. This course may not be offered if the enrolment is less than 10 students.
