Course description
This course introduces students to theories of learning and teaching mathematics in the secondary school, and develops practical skills relating to lesson planning and presentation, curriculum design and assessment in the context of the Senior Mathematics Syllabuses and Study Area Specifications. Attention is also given to current issues in mathematics education, such as the numeracy, mathematical thinking, applications in real life contexts, and the impact of educational technologies on mathematics teaching and learning.
