Course description
Departmental consent required for semester 1 enrolment. Contact the School for permission to enrol. 40 days consisting of supervised practicum and internship. The practicum builds on Introduction to Professional Practice and broadens opportunities for purposeful supervised experiences to develop pre-service teachers' understandings of themselves as teachers, the students they will teach, the contexts in which they will teach, and the teaching/learning process. It enables students to move from high levels of support to practice that is both autonomous and collaborative, refining and extending their knowledge about teaching in secondary school contexts.
