Course description

This course is an introduction to curriculum and teaching in the Key Learning Area of Studies of Society and Environment (SOSE) in the Middle Years of Schooling. Topics include the purposes of teaching in SOSE, the elements of SOSE curriculum and their use in planning for teaching and learning, and basic teaching strategies appropriate to teaching key aspects of the learning area. The last offering of EDUC6555 at the Ipswich campus will be in Semester 1, 2011.
