Course description

This course is an introduction to the principles of teaching English as a second language, with particular reference to ESL in the classroom. The course covers theories of Second Language Acquisition and issues related to language teaching and learning. This course also looks at the macroskills of listening, reading, writing & speaking and the key points about each as they apply in the classroom.
