Course description

This is the first of a suite of four professional experience courses within the Bachelor of Education (Primary) program. It introduces students to current and long-standing educational trends. It challenges students to explore the basis of educational practices and the ways that these have been informed and influenced by the media and public domain. The course will also build on and apply knowledge developed across the first year of the Bachelor of Education (Primary) program. This course contains 10 days of professional experience with a focus on observation and hands-on classroom assistance. As this course contains a professional experience component it is permission listed so that academic, preservice teacher risk assessment Blue Card status checks can be completed prior to enrolment.
