Course description

This course will provide an introduction to issues about science and technology education and will provide students with a background to appreciate the social consequences of scientific knowledge and its application through technology. The special role of these subjects in preparing students to contribute to society will be explored. The course will draw on the experiences of scientists and technologists and students will take an inquiry approach providing a connection to current classroom practice.
