Course description
This course provides participants with an opportunity to network and collaborate with one another while testing and leading innovation through the development of a scholarly educational project. Participants will investigate an aspect of teaching and learning of mutual interest to them and to their School or department. Supported by workshops, mentors and networks, each participant will develop a complete and viable proposal in an area of relevance to teaching and learning in their context. This course enables participants to engage with innovation, educational reform and scholarship in order to develop their teaching expertise through scholarship and inquiry. At the conclusion of the course, participants are able to share an overview of their proposal that demonstrates how they intend to use scholarship, or research, or professional learning, or other evidence-informed approaches as a basis for effective practice The completed proposal may subsequently be used as the basis for an application for funding, or project implementation that could lead to publication or a conference presentation or a case study for application for Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
