Course description
This course offers students the opportunity of undertaking a secondment with a professional theatre company, or of completing a major independent research project. For those interested in secondments, these take place in your last year of undergraduate study. Students may be placed in QTC, La Boite, Qld Shakespeare Ensemble, the Powerhouse. Individual research topics are available for advanced students with good records. The topics are convened in consultation with a staff member whose expertise aligns with your independent research area. If you have a burning interest in a particular playwright, theatre company, or area of theatre-related scholarship or critical theory, this is your opportunity to develop a research project that enables you to work independently toward a detailed area of knowledge.
