Course description
Dietetics professionals are required to undertake a minimum of 20 days of professional practice in public health and community nutrition. This course allows students to undertake practice that plans, implements and evaluates nutrition programs in the community and to demonstrate effective and appropriate skills in communicating information to groups and communities. It requires practice that applies knowledge and skills acquired prior to entry ot the Master of Dietetic Studies and it will meet the national competency standards for safe entry level practice. A service learning model is used for this course.
