Course description
This course allows students to undertake 20 days of professional practice that includes planning, implementing and evaluating food service and community nutrition programs and to demonstrate effective and appropriate skills in communicating information to various stakeholders. It requires practice that applies knowledge and skills acquired both prior to entry to the Master of Dietetic Studies and covered in semester 1 courses and it will demonstrate a number of the entrustable professional activities which contribute to the national competency standards for practice as a dietitian-nutritionist in Australia. A work integrated, service learning model is used for this course.
