Course description
Multi-party conflict resolution is an acid test of leadership. It requires bringing others to the table and cultivating their highest and best leadership skills. The course covers issues such as: how to help disputants frame issues, avoid unnecessary distractions, and, in the face of actual or impending obstacles, achieve elegant solutions that build consensus, tame stubborn problems and create improbable partnerships. Students in this course will explore key themes, and build new insights and skills in the area of multi-party dispute resolution. The course will be conducted in a three-day intensive block of classes (9 am-5 pm) followed by a one-day class approximately six weeks later during which students will present their research-in-progress.
