Course description

Not offered in 2011.
The course explores the development of our theoretical understanding of crime. It will provide an in-depth examination of the shifts in our criminological perspectives from the 18th century to contemporary theoretical developments. Attention will be given to each perspectives' origin, central arguments, conceptual rigour, & empirical status.
