Course description
This course introduces students to working in mental health as a psychotherapist from the perspective of interpersonal psychodynamic theory and one additional evidenced-informed psychotherapy such as CBT utilising focused psychological strategies. The course is designed to deepen students¿ understanding of mental health conditions and how to work effectively as a psychotherapist. Students will be expected to be working with clients during the course and will be provided with supervision. Students will apply the basics of assessment and engage in demonstrated application of the specific theories studied.
