Course description
This course introduces students to the central role of the communication professions in putting environmental issues onto the public agenda. The course examines the historical and theoretical literature about the relationship between the mass media and environmental portrayal, with a focus on framing theory, and stakeholder and audience analysis. Students will apply this knowledge to a critical analysis of environmental news, and a practical environmental communication project.
