Course description
Analysis of statically determinate structures. Section properties, principal axes and Mohr's circle, unsymmetrical bending, torsion of circular shafts. Shear stresses in solid and thin-walled sections. Stress-strain in 2D. Deflection in beams, double integration, virtual work method. Deflection in trusses and frame structures. Influence lines. Column buckling.
