Course description
This course continues CHIN2200.¿ It broadens the learner¿s knowledge of common vocabulary and modern Chinese grammar, consolidates reading and character recognition strategies in learners, provides further training in dictionary use, and extends writing practice from simple to more complex forms. The student¿s ability to translate between English and Chinese is also enhanced.¿ The student will learn a wide range of expressions and increasingly complex grammatical structures, and the cultural knowledge necessary to use them appropriately in the Chinese cultural context as well as appreciating their aesthetic and cultural significance.
