Physical chemistry principles with an emphasis on biological problems. Binding of ligands to biological macromolecules - kinetic & thermodynamic selectivity. Enzyme kinetics, including inhibition & coupled reactions. Spectroscopic probes of biological reactions, including fluorescence spectroscopy & circular dichroism. Thermodynamics of biological systems including calorimetry.
