Course description
This course provides a current overview of cutting-edge innovation in biomanufacturing biotechnology. We will cover, in detail, specific enabling technologies driving change in biomanufacturing industries. This includes, but not limited to:
- Antibody design and production
- Cell line engineering
- Vaccine production
- Upstream and downstream bioprocessing optimisation
- Analytics and quality control
- Regulatory issues and process economy
Students will learn about the current global trends in biomanufacturing and how cutting-edge biomanufacturing tools are changing industries to meet demand.
