A report, a curated and identified insect collection , online quizzes, a prac exam and theory exam. The two exams must be passed in order to pass the course.

Course description
This course covers the identification and taxonomy of insects, particularly those of relevance to Australian biosecurity. The practical component will examine collecting and preserving techniques, and identification of adult and immature insects and their feeding damage. The course is mostly delivered online but there is a compuslory 5 day residential component. A requirement of the course is the presentation of a well-curated insect collection.
