Course description
NOT OFFERED SUMMER 2010. This course is a 3-week intensive cutting-edge introduction to molecular & phylogenetic techniques that are an integral part of modern, multidisciplinary approaches to ecology, evolution & conservation. It incorporates explanatory letters, research seminars, group discussion tutorials, & hands-on wet & dry laboratory practices on a wide range of molecular techniques. Students apply skills learned through this course to design & carry out elements of their very own plant-, animal- or microbial-based research project under the guidance of biologists who are active practitioners in these fields.
