Course description
Many insects and arachnids either directly cause medical problems or vector pathogens. This course integrates vector biology, principles of monitoring and control, epidemiology, and microbial ecology. It provides a foundation for understanding how resistance, changes in global climate, habitat modifications and expanding populations affect arthropod-borne diseases.
