Course description

The focus of this course is in the development of practical skills in protein expression, purification and characterisation. Laboratory experiments that will be performed include liquid chromatography, gel electrophoresis, peptide sequencing & amino acid analysis, protein crystallization and enzymatic assays. You will also gain experience in computer based visualization of proteins and in scientific writing.
