Course description
Advanced Genome Informatics introduces current approaches for analysing genome and transcriptome data including read mapping, de novo assembly, visualization, and biostatistics. The course consists of three parts: i) introduction to unix command-line tools and their application to bioinformatics analysis, ii) biostatistics and its application to transcriptome analysis using R; and iii) genome and metagenome assembly, annotation and comparative analysis.
