Course description
Informed by emerging technologies such as big data and AI, this course examines how data-driven methods be applied in design research support strategical decision and solutions in architectural and urban contexts. Students learn techniques for sourcing, managing, analysing, and visualising diverse open-source datasets¿such as GIS and social media¿to inform context-sensitive design decisions through creative analytical visualisation. They further develop evidence-based strategies to conduct open-ended evidence based research on emerging topics at urban scales and effectively communicating their findings.
