Course description
This course critically examines both historical and contemporary architectural theories, exploring their assumptions, methodologies, and socio-cultural impacts. Students will apply logical reasoning and evidence-based decision-making to address design challenges, promoting sustainable and contextually relevant solutions. The curriculum integrates urban studies, environmental psychology, philosophy, and technology, encouraging well-reasoned arguments on architectural and urban issues. Emphasizing ethical considerations, students will analyze the environmental, social, and cultural implications of architectural decisions and refine their ability to deliver clear, in-depth design critiques and intellectual discourse.
