Course description
Construction and Tectonics introduces students to the structural, envelope and servicing systems used in medium scale, multi-storey building. Students will apply this knowledge in the design development and documentation of a case study building, working from whole of building strategic decisions to developing construction details and specifying appropriate materials in line with these strategic goals. Building codes and standards are used to develop an understanding of how they shape both design and documentation.
