Course description
This course addresses Australian First Nations people's knowledges and representations in built and other design environments. It includes other peoples from our region and beyond. Students will learn methods of historical and critical enquiry to understand concepts of designing on Country and intercultural design, and their application in architecture and other designed environments. The course invites exploration and analyses of architecture and other designed and social justice outcomes by and in response to Indigenous peoples and how these have changed across time. Students will learn how to apply this knowledge gained through research, to written, drawn and verbal scholarly projects.
