Course description
This course explores architectural design principles in sub/tropical regions, focusing on climate-responsive strategies. Students analyse sites, climate, and vernacular and contemporary precedents to inform sustainable design solutions. They will gain an understanding of First Nations knowledge of Country. Emphasis is placed on integrating efficient building systems, selecting materials, and applying structural solutions to create cohesive designs. Students will develop verbal and visual presentation skills to effectively communicate their design concepts.
