Course description
This architectural design studio provides students with a foundational understanding of key elements and principles of architectural design. Through the analysis of architectural precedents from across culture and periods, students explore essential design concepts and strategies. In a collaborative studio setting, students creatively explore elements of architectural design and their interrelationships and translate them into an architectural project. Students develop ability to communicate ideas through diagrams, drawings, and model-making, strengthening conceptual thinking and practical design skills.
